Last Week on the 🌐 Internet
// Aug 8th // Senate ignites Crypto over Infrastructure Bill
On Monday, the Senate’s failure to pass an amendment to the Infrastructure Bill created a call to arms to MANIFEST UNANIMOUS CONSENT to avoid changes in law scaring innovators out of the US and expanding domestic surveillance.
The Senate’s bill turns almost every non-custodial protocol, app, and even software developers into a “broker”. The result? Mass collection of personally identifiable information of all users under the guise of ensuring “tax compliance”, a feat that is technically impossible for most but more importantly a continued push into a surveillance state. While the bill heads back to the House for another round of amendments, it’s time for everyone to call their Congress rep.
// Aug 9th // Squiggles, CryptoPunk, and seemingly every other NFT floor continues to rise
From Squiggles to CryptoPunks, OG crypto NFTs are being scooped up by collectors in bulk…
…and no one is selling.
